Dr. Mary Ruth Wisehart Scholarship

WNAC awarded its first Wisehart Scholarship in early 2012. Named in honor of WNAC Executive Secretary-Treasurer Dr. Mary Ruth Wisehart, this $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a promising young woman at each of the three Free Will Baptist Colleges in the U.S.

In 2010, WNAC Convention delegates voted to convert the organization’s longstanding loan fund to a scholarship fund. The following guidelines were approved in 2011.

+ Recipient must be a female student enrolled full-time.
+ Recipient must be a member in good standing of a FWB church or mission.
+ Recipient must be enrolled in one of the Free Will Baptist colleges:

+ Recipient must be a sophomore, junior, or senior.
+ Recipient must maintain a grade point average of a “C” or above.
+ Recipient must exemplify Christian qualities and display continuing spiritual growth.
+ Recipient will be chosen by the scholarship committee of the designated college.
+ Recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
+ Recipient may apply annually.

A scholarship committee at each of the three above-named colleges receives applications and selects the school’s recipient. Interested women should talk with the financial advisor at their perspective school.
