Ruth McDonald recently began her role as the new WNAC Director. She and her husband Donnie ministered as missionaries in Japan for 38 years, most recently in the Good News Chapel in the greater Tokyo area. Ruth shares, “WNAC had a huge part to play in our ministry in Japan all these years. I am excited about giving back by serving our wonderful Free Will Baptist women.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Phyllis York is the editor of Treasure Bible Study Guide. She brings a wealth of experience as a pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother, WAC leader, and long-time administrative assistant to Elizabeth Hodges, former director.

Meet the board:

Lee Ann Wilfong has been an active member of WNAC since she was a young adult, serving in leadership capacities at all levels. She served as president of Missouri WAC and began serving on the WNAC board in 2015.  She attends Leadington FWB Church in Park Hills, MO, where she is actively involved in leadership roles.

Jessica Edwards earned a B.A. from Welch College in 2003 with minors in Missions and History. She is actively involved in her Women Active for Christ at Cross Timbers FWB Church in Nashville, TN, and serves as treasurer for Tennessee WAC. Jessica is a deacon’s wife and a homeschooling mom of three. With a passion to travel, she has enjoyed visiting several Free Will Baptist international mission fields. Jessica began serving on the WNAC board in 2020. 

Melanie Franks is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education. A dedicated pastor’s wife, mother of two, and experienced elementary school teacher, she brings both passion and purpose to her roles in ministry and education. In 2017, her family relocated to Athens, Alabama, to serve as church planters. They are currently working to establish a multicultural congregation through Cultivate Free Will Baptist Church. She also serves as the state coordinator for Alabama Free Will Baptist Women’s Ministries, helping equip and encourage women across the state for effective ministry.

Sharon Dickey is a graduate of Randall University with an AA in Christian Education. She is a homeschooling mom and has one grandchild. Sharon serves in her local WAC, District WAC board, and Texas WAC board. As a pastor’s wife, she serves in various roles at Fellowship FWB in Bryan, TX, where her husband, Doug, serves as the pastor.

Angie Frazier holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Welch College, where she met her husband, Dr. Brett Frazier. She currently serves as the Media Specialist at Seffner Christian Academy, a ministry of First Free Will Baptist Church of Tampa, where she also leads as the Women Active for Christ (WAC) Coordinator. Angie and her husband have a heart for missions and have led sixteen medical mission trips to Haiti, Jamaica, and Mexico. She is a devoted wife and mother to four children: Olivia (Camden) Craner, Beau, Luke, and Drew.

Tracy Payne earned an A.A. in Business from Randall University in 1981 and a B.S. in Theology and Psychology in 1983. She has served as worship coordinator, pianist, and women’s ministry coordinator in her local churches. Tracy has been active at all levels of WNAC and began serving on the WNAC board in 2015.  A pastor’s wife and mother of five children, Tracy brings her experience as a frequent speaker at women’s events.

Katie Postlewaite is vice president of the South Carolina Women Active for Christ. Originally from Mississippi, Katie now resides in Johnsonville, SC, with her husband, Joey, and their two daughters. She attends Westside Free Will Baptist Church, where her husband serves as pastor. Katie has a servant’s heart and is involved in numerous ministries at the church, district, state, and now national levels. 

Ashley Alphin is a 2021 graduate of Welch College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. A committed member of Women Active for Christ (WAC) since the age of 13, Ashley currently serves on both the state and local WAC boards in Ohio. She and her husband, Dillon, who serves as the youth pastor at Westerville Free Will Baptist Church, are actively involved in ministry at their home church. Ashley is also a devoted mother to their daughter, Bailey.

Rachelle Burchett serves as the System Director of Organizational Development and Education for Appalachian Regional Healthcare and is the founder of The Communication Trainer. She holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. A speaker and leadership coach, Rachelle is passionate about helping others grow—whether in their careers, ministries, or walk with Christ. She has served in various roles in women’s ministry, and currently as WAC President at Southside FWB. Rachelle is also a wife, mother of three, “GiGi” to three grandchildren, and the author of three faith-based books designed to encourage and equip women.
