Life can be hard for widows in Central Asia.
The CA Help Widows Project offers help, care and encouragement for these often forgotten individuals—some who have never heard the message of the gospel or experienced the love of Christ.

Selected widows receive a one-time $100 gift for Christmas or for Easter. Depending on individual needs, the gift could be either cash or resources such as food, fuel or medicine. Ninety percent of recipients are Christian widows (a way to encourage them) while 10 percent are unbelievers (a way to reach them). These one-time gifts make a difference in so many lives.

Because many of these widows have ongoing needs—often extreme poverty or handicapped children, BMI (our ministry partner in Central Asia) also offers family sponsorships. A monthly gift of $40 (earmarked “widow sponsorship”) provides continuing care and encouragement to those who need it most.

Whatever option you choose, your gift enables believers in this region to reach out, to care, and to share the message of God’s grace—true religion in the sight of God and of men.

Christmas Joy Update

WNAC annually partners with Bible Mission International to bring Christmas Joy to children in Central Asia. Each $15 donation provides one child a gift and an opportunity to hear the gospel—often for the very first time. In spite of difficult economic times, women together gave $1,768.50 for the upcoming January 2011 distribution. To God be the glory!

Honor Home Missionary Wives through Prayer

Join WNAC, November 15-19, in honoring the ”Jewel Qualities” of home missionary wives during the annual PreThanksgiving Week of Prayer for National Home Missions. The week includes daily opportunities in praise and prayer for women involved in North American church planting and also presents a challenge from the Word to nurture these qualities in our own lives.

The week also builds momentum for FWBHM’s annual Mission: North America Offering the following Sunday (November 21). Women are encouraged to give cheerfully and generously to support this vital ministry.

WNAC and FWBHM jointly provide materials for both personal and local church women’s group use. A free packet is available by mail (one per church group, please) or you may download selective resources.

WNAC now offers individuals and groups greater opportunity to partner in its ministry through a faith promise financial and/or prayer commitment. These partnerships will allow WNAC a much-needed consistent cash base and vital prayer support necessary to continue its office operations.

Financial commitments can be made for any amount and given monthly, quarterly or yearly. For convenience, an automatic bank draft is available or you may mail your gift directly to WNAC.
