WNAC Launches a New Era

Delegates to the 73rd annual WNAC Committee unanimously elected Danita High as WNAC Executive Secretary-Treasurer. The historic vote took place July 22, in Charleston, WV. Delegates also approved the following resolutions:

1. We recommend that scholarships be given from the Cleo Pursell Foreign Student Scholarship Fund as follows:
a. International Mission Scholarship ($2100) to help students at Seminario Bautiste Libre de Panama in Chame, Panama.
b. Home Missions Scholarship ($1200) to help students in training for ministry at our two Mexico Bible Institutes: Altimira Bible Institute and the Seminary of the Cross in Reynosa at $600 to each institute.

2. We recommend that the Missionary Provision Closet be named the “Steward Provision Closet” in memory of Wendell and Lucille Steward from Michigan for their many years of labor for the Provision Closet.

3. We recommend that the WNAC Endowment Fund be named the “Marjorie Workman Endowment Fund.”

4. We resolve as FWB women that we reaffirm our stand against same sex marriage and support an amendment to the US Constitution designating marriage as being the union between one man and one woman. We would encourage groups and individuals to send letters to legislators, state and national, to affirm our position.

Building for the Future:20/20/20 focuses on expansion.

This two-year effort will help:
—amortize property costs for a burgeoning FWB seminary in Chame, Panama
—finance construction of a long-awaited FWB Church facility in Villalba, Spain
—build a funding base to cover operational costs and continue WNAC ministries.

Make a difference in the lives of children in Central Asia.
Share the Joy of Christmas

Give. Preparations are already underway for Central Asia's Joy of Christmas outreach. For only $15, you can give a child a Christmas gift package and an opportunity to hear the Gospel—most likely for the very first time. Encourage your church or women's group to be a part in this worthwhile ministry to handicapped and orphaned children in Central Asia. Donate online

Pray. A team of Women Active for Christ will travel to Central Asia in January 2009 and participate in the actual distribution of these gifts. Pray that God will rovide funds for travel expenses, prepare each heart for the harvest, and partner many in this effort..
